December Challenges

Hello lovely people! Happy new month! Can you believe it's December already?? This year is going by super fast and I'm actually excited and looking forward to the great things I already know God has in store for me.

Between last night and most of today, I've been hearing the words challenge yourself pop in my head. As much as I love a good challenge deep down I am scared of challenging and pushing myself. A lot of it has to do with my fear of losing or not doing so well. Lately, there are so many things I want to pursue, but have been stagnant because of fear. Yesterday one of my friends turned little sister reminded me of 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind". I so needed that reminder. I am so quick to tell that verse to someone else but fail to apply it to myself.

So I have decided to end this year challenging myself. Most people are used to challenging themselves at the start of the year with New Year's Resolutions (which I never really do). Below you can see three challenges I wish to complete this year and onward!

Challenge 1: Be more positive
This morning while I walked into the locker room at my gym I noticed a woman dancing. It was 6am usually most people are not the happiest at the gym at that time. However, I thought to myself I wish I could be like that more often. I come into the gym looking tired and like I do not want to be there although I do. So I challenged myself to be more positive throughout the day. Then I said why not be like this all the time. So if you see me or talk to me and I am not being positive please let me know!

Squat challenge you can do!
Challenge 2: Fitness
I am pretty much still going to the gym 5-6 days a week, but lately I have been slacking. I have been going to the gym and not putting my all. I have also been slacking with my diet. I gained the weight I lost back. So for the rest of the month I am going back to eating clean and cutting out all the junk (mostly Chick fil A milkshakes and ice cream lol). I am also going to be doing squats every day with heavy weights (increasing my weights each day). Please feel free to join me you do not have to use weights.

Challenge 3: December Praises
Also today I posted on my Facebook page about thanking God in advance for the promise He still will fulfill this year. Then I get an email and message from my bestie about a challenge she's doing called December praises. So basically every day you will thank God for what He has done for you that day and let us know. Just use the hashtag #decemberpraises. You can find more about this challenge here.

So let's strive to end the year with a bang! Start all those projects we never finished, make a difference in someone's life, or not wait till January to join the gym. Let's not put off tomorrow what we can do today!

Till next time! Stay Blessed!
