Been a while

Hey guys! 

Hope your week has been great so far. Sorry I've been slacking. This post was written about 3 weeks ago and I am just updating and posting today lol. 

The past 3 weeks have been filled with sickness (my daughter and myself) and snow and ice storms. All of these incidents have kept me off track with my fitness journey. Despite being off track I did manage to get a new workout buddy! I found out that my friend from church goes to the same gym as me so we started working out together this week. I have noticed lots of pros from having a partner. We keep each other focused and motivated and give each other that extra push when needed. 

Getting back on track this week has started off great. I went yesterday and today and will go for the rest of the week. I am also getting back on track with my diet. Being at home a few days made me eat things I shouldn't have such as ice cream lol but it wasn't everyday! 

Lately, I have been resting if my body tells me to rest even if that means not going to the gym for 2 days instead of one. I think part of me getting sick was the fact that I barely rest. I am learning to take time to just rest, which is hard for me. I've also been busy cooking and trying out new recipes. I'll share one with you this week. I'm just debating which one to share lol. 

Anyway, I hope you all take time to rest this week. Even if it means taking a nap during your lunch break. Trust me you will feel much better :)
