Jersey to Texas

This has been long overdue, but I have been busy trying to adjust to life in Texas. Two weeks ago I left my home and life in New Jersey to start a new life with my hubby and baby in Texas. I cannot believe it’s been two weeks already; it actually feels like I have been here longer. My journey to Texas was a long one. A trip that could have taken 3.5hrs by plane took us 2 days because we drove. Yes we (well my hubby drove lol) took a road trip to Texas. The trip was very relaxing and baby girl did amazing; she really enjoyed being in the car and loved when we took her out to stretch and eat. We drove through 8 states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas and finally Texas). I thank God for giving my hubby the strength; it’s not easy driving many hours straight; I sure can’t do it! Finally on Saturday night we arrived at what I now call HOME!

So everyone has been asking me how’s Texas and all I have been saying is that it’s cold lol and  everyone blames me for bringing the cold weather and snow and I agree with them; I had to bring some part of Jersey with me! Last week we had an ice storm. To me it was nothing serious, but to Texans it was. We were stuck indoors for about 3 days. The roads weren’t cleaned, schools were closed, businesses were closed...it was pretty sad and boring. All they needed was some SALT! Nonetheless, the ice storm gave me time to start arranging things around the house; there’s still more to do but at least I started!

As much as I miss Jersey and all my friends and loved ones, I do enjoy being home with my family. Thank God for technology and social media sometimes I feel like I never left. Check out a few pics from the road trip; I tried to snap a pic of every state, but that was a failure lol as I slept off a few times. I also pumped gas which I am not looking forward to doing regularly L. Well till next time…stay blessed!
